Illustration students complete their final sculpture projects!

Throughout the summer semester of Seneca’s Illustration diploma program, the current group of students were working hard to bring their creative designs to life in 3D form. The sculpture course, led by Ted Hamer, introduced the process of creating three-dimensional sculptural figures and environments for illustrative storytelling.  Students developed their ideas into sculptural compositions using Sculpey oven-bake clay and other materials. Once the compositions were complete, students photographed their dioramas, emphasizing colour, lighting, and perspective to effectively convey the narrative being told.
