The Artist Project

The Artist Project welcomed its 11th year with the most exciting show yet this February 22 to 25, 2018 at the Better Living Centre, Exhibition Place, 195 Princes’ Boulevard, Toronto.
A showcase of emerging and established artists representing themselves. A juried exhibit, the quality of the work is extraordinary.

The image is of Gordon Shadrach, a Toronto TDSB teacher who is a rising star!  His work is currently in a group exhibition at the ROM Here we are Here: Black Contemporary Art, exploring what is the Black Canadian presence and history in our country? Through the contemporary works of nine Canadian artists you can challenge yourself to think differently about the deep-rooted histories and enduring presence of Black Canadians, gain a new and multifaceted understanding of Canada, through these unique and visually compelling installations.

Gordon spoke to the ILU students in the fall as part of the Creativity and Concept Development class with Martha Newbigging.
